Background
David Taylor, Special Counsel at McConaughy & Sarkissian, P.C, is licensed to practice law in Colorado, and was previously licensed in Maryland. Mr. Taylor represents clients in various areas of construction law, including construction defect and general liability.
After three terms of serving as a state court judge, Mr. Taylor decided to return to the private sector in the area of construction law, while utilizing his unique perspective and knowledge gained from his experience to help clients resolve matters effectively. With ample experience in both the private and public sector, he has participated in large, complex civil trials including construction defect matters. In his many years working for the judicial branch, he received numerous performance awards, held numerous positions of leadership, and was member or chair of numerous committees and boards.
Mr. Taylor obtained his Juris Doctorate from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2005, after obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in History from Mary Washington College in 2002.
In addition to his legal career, Mr. Taylor has had the privilege to be an accomplished firefighter in the communities in which he has lived. He has held many titles and certifications in structural and wildland firefighting, as well as certifications in emergency medicine and technical rescue.
