N. Rioux Jordan

Rioux Jordan, a Colorado native, focuses his practice on complicated construction and other matters, representing clients spanning owners, developers, general contractors, and subcontractors of all sizes. Mr. Jordan’s practice includes all types of construction from stormwater facilities to residential developments, to industrial buildings, to high rise luxury condominiums. This work includes defending and asserting breach of contract claims, construction defect claims, scheduling and delay claims, payment claims, and mechanics’ liens. He has represented clients in the Construction Defect Action Reform Act Notice of Claim Process, in informal dispute resolutions, in mediations, and in multi-week trials and arbitrations. In his practice, Mr. Jordan also works with clients to draft, revise, and negotiate contracts.
Mr. Jordan is licensed to practice law in state and federal courts in Colorado and Wyoming. He earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law. While attending, Mr. Jordan interned with Colorado District Court Judge David Prince. He further developed his litigation skills by working at one of the University of Denver’s student law clinics, which are ranked in the top 10 nationally for clinical training. In law school, Mr. Jordan was a staff editor and the legislative reports editor for the Water Law Review. Prior to law school, Mr. Jordan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in English from Colorado State University, where he graduated cum laude as a university honors scholar.
When he is not in the office, Mr. Jordan spends time with his family, takes advantage of Colorado’s wonderful outdoors, and engages in creative endeavors from writing to woodworking.
