During her time as a prosecutor, Ms. Colburn handled cases across the full spectrum of criminal severity, from misdemeanors to the most serious felonies. She developed a particular depth of experience in domestic violence cases — representing the state in the prosecution of offenders, advocating for victims, and gaining a firsthand understanding of the long-term consequences that abuse and family dysfunction inflict on individuals, children, and households. Outside the office, Ms. Colburn is as driven in her personal life as she is in the courtroom. She is an avid motocross rider, street biker, powerlifter, and whitewater rafter. When she is not seeking her next adrenaline rush, she enjoys traveling with her partner and spending time with her cats.
