For the past 25 years, this award has celebrated and honored the esteemed accomplishments and dedication of the Mile High City’s top women executives, entrepreneurs, philanthropists and influencers. This year, the Denver Business Journal’s judging panel has honored 34 women based on leadership within their organization and industry, professional accomplishments and community involvement.

About Kama McConaughy Sarkissian

Kama McConaughy Sarkissian is shareholder at McConaughy & Sarkissian, P.C. She focuses her practice in all areas of family law and has an extensive background representing clients in complex litigation, settlement negotiations, and appeals.

Kama is a leader in every sense of the word. She is not only known for her outstanding advocacy and dedication to her clients in and out of the courtroom, but she is who employees and colleagues go to for any and all needs at the firm. She mentors and trains attorneys at McConaughy & Sarkissian, P.C. who are litigating outside of their practice areas and is admired for how she balances being a full-time family law attorney, leader and working mother.

Kama is a member of the Arapahoe County Bar Association and sits on the board of Metro Volunteer Lawyers, who serves indigent parties in a variety of legal matters, including family law. She is also a proud presenter and supporter of WINGS (Women Inspiring a Network of Growth and Support) where she participates in divorce workshops to educate women who are looking into all aspects of a dissolution of marriage and has been a frequent speaker since 2017.

Kama donates her time to volunteer at her children’s schools where she mentors aspiring attorneys. She also volunteers at the STEM School Highlands Ranch, which is rooted in her passion for introducing more students, especially young women, to STEM based legal careers, an area of practice that has commonly been dominated by men. In addition to her mentorship, Kama also takes on family law pro bono cases and frequently speaks at CLE events in the community about complex issues in the family law realm.

Kama works tirelessly and relentlessly to serve her clients, those she mentors, and the people of Denver community and beyond.
